Happy Monday, happy whatever day you guys are listening to this. Welcome back to another week of the podcast. If you are brand new to the show and listen into the sound of my voice for the first time, welcome to the action to campaign podcast. We do five episodes per week. Every single day that ends in Y. Tuesdays and Thursdays are multimillionaire guest interviews. Each and every week. Monday, wednesdays and Fridays are shorter, quick, hitter episodes that are delivering one specific topic or a piece of advice or philosophy for you to implement that day. So today is one of those episodes And, as always, ladies and gentlemen, information was never the answer.

Speaker 1: Implementation is if you want to be held accountable, if you want your tail kicked, if you want to be around peers, partners and mentors that are doing what you want to do, which is hit financial freedom through real estate and business acquisition. Go, check out the link in the show description and click to book a 15 minute call to learn more about our action Academy community. Get it, got it Good, let's get to work, baby. A whole bunch of people in this world are unhappy. A whole lot of people in this world are unhappy. Entrepreneurs, i think, make up a big majority of them. It's kind of funny how the pendulum swings on each side of the bell curve You have people that are completely hopeless and have no job, and then you have the other people on the other end of the spectrum that are killing it, run big businesses still miserable. Super rich still miserable. Super successful still miserable. Why is this Sounds like a great question to build a Monday podcast episode around right? You absolutely hit the nail on the head, my friend. I wholeheartedly believe that the reason the majority of the world is stressed out, pissed off and miserable is because we're choosing to celebrate the wrong events in our lives In type A heat-sicking missiles of entrepreneurs. The doers, the shakers, the action takers are one of the main personality archetypes that fall victim to this.

Speaker 1: Now I wrote a newsletter article last Thursday titled Why Overnight Success is Bullshit, and today I want to use this example that I shared in that newsletter to expand on my positioning here. In this newsletter, i shared two pictures of the same experience, and this experience was me hiking Quandary Peak in Colorado back in, i believe, 2019 with my Go-Bundance brothers. Quandary Peak is a mountain in Colorado that towers over 14,000 foot. There's a handful of them in the United States And this is why the Coloradans is that how you say it, coloradans? I don't know what you guys call yourselves, but those people call a 14er. Is there anything mountain that's above 14,000 foot at its peak? It's called a 14er. So I summited a 14er from the base to summit in 10 and a half hours, so 10.5 hours. So picture one is me standing at the summit, at the peak of the mountain, with a sign the carports on the says I summited Quandary Peak, 14,627 feet, and you see this mountain range in the background. You can see the mountain peaks in the back in the distance And I'm smiling And this is an Instagrammable moment.

Speaker 1: You know this is one of the celebrations. I made it. Congratulations, i did it.

Speaker 1: What I also refer to lovingly, pun intended halfway as a mountain top moment of life. Now, we all have these mountain top moments, but they're scattered few and far between. These mountain top moments could look like getting that promotion at work, hitting financial freedom in leaving your work, hitting a millionaire status, opening your first business, running your first marathon, having your first child. Mountaintop moments are essentially the accomplishment of a massive, massive goal. The hard stuff is what makes the mountain top moment worth it, because if I had taken a helicopter up to the top of the mountain, it wouldn't have been worth posting on Instagram. If you wrote a scooter through the Boston Marathon, it wouldn't be worth posting on Instagram. If you just inherited millions of dollars of assets and suddenly became a millionaire overnight, that's not something you'd post on Instagram because you didn't do the hard stuff to get there right. So we can now all agree sitting here that the hard work in the grit is what makes the mountain top moment worth it To climb up the mountain.

Speaker 1: Now, why is this important? Because the second picture that I posted in my newsletter was a picture of me climbing the mountain with the sun rising behind me at 527 am. It was one of my favorite pictures ever taken of me. Now, remember, this isn't a hiking podcast. This is a podcast episode discussing happiness. So let's land the plane and discuss why these pictures are important.

Speaker 1: So, like I said before, this entire experience, from beginning to end, from start to completion, was 10 and a half hours of effort. That's 630 minutes. Now the picture won at the top of the summit. That's the one that everyone sees, right? That's the stuff that we post, that's the stuff that we celebrate. Those are the moments that we allow ourselves to feel happiness, to feel happy, to feel happy, to feel pride in our accomplishment. And here's the kicker That picture lasted all of two and a half minutes, that's it. When you make it to the summit, there's got like 40 mile per hour winds coming, it's freezing cold, the sun's beaten down on you. You just pause, you take a picture, you smile, you turn around and you head back down the mountain. It's two and a half minutes, that's it. And now compare that with picture two hiking up the mountain. That was 627 minutes and 30 seconds of the journey. Of the 630 minutes, 627 and 30 seconds was the climb.

Speaker 1: Yet we don't post the climb, we post the mountaintop. If we were to break this down to our percentage point of total time celebrated compared to the total amount of the experience, it would be 0.004 percent And spread out over a lifetime of 78 years. On average, that would be three calendar months out of your entire life that you truly feel happy, you truly feel success, you truly feel pride. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the problem with today's society. And so, now that we know the problem, the solution is apparent. It's staring us right in the face. It's always been there. It's simply changing what we celebrate. It's celebrating the climb, it's celebrating the journey, it's celebrating every single step that you take up that mountain on the way up, and really learning to love and appreciate every single minute that you spend climbing.

Speaker 1: Alex Ramosy had a really great quote that I want to read for all of you guys The best games in life cannot be won, only played. You don't win at marriage The point is to keep the marriage going. You don't win at health The point is to stay healthy. You don't win at business The point is to stay in business. So now that we know this, we know that the games worth playing, we're going to play for the entirety of our lives, which would literally mean that the secret to happiness overall is to learn to love, to play the game. That's it. It's always been that simple.

Speaker 1: So stop waiting for those mountaintop moments, stop waiting for those Instagramable moments for you to feel happy. Feel happy in the pursuit. The pursuit is 99% of our lives, and here's the secret We're always going to do hard things. That's how we're wired. That's why you're willingly listening to this podcast instead of listening to Lil Baby on the radio. You know what I mean. Like this is why we are always going to do hard things over and over and over again. This doesn't stop. This doesn't turn off. You hit financial freedom. You're going to start your own company. You're going to start your own business to do something hard again. So let's not find happiness in the picture that we post with the abs. Let's find happiness doing the crunches and doing the cardio and doing the diets. Each and every day, we say, man, i killed it. Today. Let's not celebrate hitting millionaire status. Let's celebrate the broker dials. The deal is under written, the letters of intent sent, the offer is accepted, like that's the stuff that we celebrate The cold calls, every single day, that I release a podcast episode in two videos on Instagram.

Speaker 1: I win, i won the game, congratulations. Then I get to wake up on Tuesday and do it all over again. I'm on freaking fire every single day because this is how I win. I don't compare my scorecard to anybody else's. I don't compare my net worth to anyone else's. I don't compare my income to anyone else's. I'm playing my own game, i'm in my lane, i'm doing my one thing and I keep it my one thing, and I hope all of you can do that. That's what I want for all of you.

Speaker 1: So, in closing, if you want to be around a group of people that are not only supporting you, encouraging you, but they're guiding you on these lead measure metrics, the cold calls, the broker dials, the deals underwritten, the capital partners, talk to the local real estate meetups that you're going to. If you want to be held accountable to that each and every week and celebrated for the 99% actions of life that make you an overnight success out of nowhere, five years in the future, scroll down in the show description and apply for the action Academy community will hop on the phone for 15 minutes, see if it's a fit for you. This is what we celebrate, guys. This is what winning looks like. So we're a happy group, or a happy bunch, because we're winning each and every week. Now, in closing, remember, guys, if you are enjoying this podcast and you got value from it, please share this episode with one person that you think would get value from it as well. Pay it forward for, for, thank you so much. Talk tomorrow.
